15 years ago…
a Jacksonville pastor cast his vision for partnering with Christian families in providing a solid, biblically integrated education at his church - fully utilizing classrooms at church every single day. This included establishing a Christian school as a ministry of the church leading the area in educating future generations for the glory of God.
A steering committee was formed that same year.
Today, The Covenant School of Jacksonville operates on her own 30-acre campus on the southside of Jacksonville. Under the canopy of majestic oaks, Covenant offers a full PreK through 12th Grade education, and equips the body, mind, and spirit of her students staying true to her mission of preparing generations of Christian leaders to further the kingdom of God for His glory.
Celebrate with us on Wednesday, September 20, as we thank God for all He has done at Covenant on our 15th Anniversary and our First Annual Founder's Day Celebration!
Join us at 8:45 a.m. as we kick-off our celebration thanking God for His countless blessings, including our Founder, Dr. Donald McCall Brunson, Jr., and Mrs. Debbie Brunson. Our guests, alumni, students and families will enjoy games and special activities throughout the day.
For those who have served with us on our Start-Up Steering Committee prior to our school opening her doors for the first time to those who have just joined us this year, we are thankful that God's plan has included every one of you in our story —the story of equipping students with knowledge, wisdom, virtue, and joy.
It’s A Celebration!
Join in the planned festivities throughout the day! The morning begins with Founder favorite- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - served with coffee. Sweet service will begin at at 8:15 a.m. and wrap up as the program begins at 8:45 a.m. in Warrior Gymnasium. Following the special service, there will be games, bouncy houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, and photo opportunities. And after lunch there will be several team competitions happening around campus to watch and cheer on.
Speaking of lunch: We will be serving a special lunch favorite that day which will be available to all guests for $15. Please consider registering your RSVP so we can properly meal plan.
