Coach Joseph Javurek grew up in Jacksonville running for a local private school in high school and was a walk on to Florida Atlantic University's Cross Country team. Towards the end of his college career, Joseph decided to learn more on how to coach. Under the mentorship of Coach Smolka and many others at FAU he learned how to coach, acting as a graduate assistant during the 2023-2024 cross country and track season.

He is committed to sharing his knowledge with the next generation of runners and also have an impact on their relationship, relationships, and walk with Christ.
