Meet Coach Worley
Meet Coach Durrant
Coach Worley was raised in a basketball coaching family, and basketball has been a major part of his life since day one. He was voted as the MVP of his state tournament during his senior year of high school. In college, he served as a student assistant for the men’s basketball program.
Coach Worley has been a head varsity basketball coach for the last nine years. In those years he has amassed over 100 wins, an FHSAA 3A District title, and has sent almost 10 players to play at the collegiate level. In his first year with Covenant, he led a second-year girls program to a 19 win season and their first district and regional tournament appearance in the FHSAA.
In his free time, Coach Worley enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayla, his daughter, Blakeleigh, and his son, Cruz, whether in the gym, at the beach, or on the golf course.
Coach Kiel Durrant was born and raised in Idaho into a family of 6, sports were always a major part of his life growing up. After earning Varsity letters in 3 sports, he chose to play college football at Missouri Valley College. After college he enlisted in the US Navy and served all 9 years here in Jacksonville.
Coach Durrant is a Covenant dad and currently serves as our Intramural Sports Director, which he has done for the last 3 years. This is his second year as the Middle school boys' basketball coach.
Coach Durrant is married to his wonderful wife Barbara. They have one son who has attended Covenant since VPK. When he is not at work or at school, he enjoys spending quality time with family.
