Lower School (Grades K-5)
Our Lower School lays the foundation for lifelong learning through a Christ-centered, classical approach. In this Grammar Stage of classical education, scholars memorize and apply foundational knowledge such as math facts, grammar rules, historical dates, and scripture passages.
Drawing on the Hillsdale K–12 curriculum and other selected resources, we aim to form students’ hearts, minds, and souls with wisdom, virtue, and joy. Students understand they are image-bearers of Christ, made in His image and created for His glory. They are introduced to the rich heritage of Western civilization from a biblical worldview.
Lower School classrooms are vibrant, developmentally appropriate environments where students learn through interactive centers, exploration, and teacher-led instruction. The goal is to cultivate curiosity and a love for His truth, His goodness, and His beauty in every subject.
Our Curriculum for our elementary scholars includes:
Bible
Students reference, memorize, follow, and treasure the Bible as God’s Holy Word. In Bible, scholars learn the Bible is real and true, and is the inerrant Word of God written for them to live by. They memorize Scripture and learn how to apply the contents for soul formation.
